The Mediums Glasses I & II - Photographs printed onto old pairs of glasses using traditional darkroom techniques
I was inspired to produce a series of works based on nineteenth century occult and pseudo-scientific documentary photography. During the nineteenth century it was believed that camera technology could capture the spirit world and photographs appearing to show ghosts and a range of occult phenomena were often used as "evidence" for a world that lay beyond what we could see.

Curtain is an evolving series of projection based installations, where images are back-projected through a screen formed of multiple magnifying lenses.
By back-projecting onto the lenses the images come through as a slightly ghostly apparition. It is as if the lenses have picked up something previously invisible creating a connection to something from the past . As the projection surface is suspended the images take on the illusion of slight movement, giving a sense of unlocked time to the prleviously static imagery.
